About the Author
Brandon Pomeroy, M.D. has taken part in medical missions to Uganda, Mali, and India, delivering healthcare in areas that have great need. He is a co-founder of Grace Missions, Inc. which provides financial and prayer support for a Christian primary school in rural Mali. He lives with his family in Kansas City. This is his first novel.

About Love, Helping Others and Simplicity

A nice, refreshing read about a man helping others in need and sharing the story of how it comes back full circle. Add this one to your book club list and share with the whole family. You'll find yourself engaged in each of the characters lives and stories, not wanting the book to end.. Well written Brandon. I look forward to the next one! Kelly L.

"In My Time of Need" has been the best book I've read all year

"In My Time of Need" has been the best book I've read all year. This author was able to bring his main character to life in ways that few books do. It is vulnerable, thoughtful, compelling, and a makes you question all the things you have come to think about life, love, faith, and what it means to be a human being. This is "Eat, Pray, Love" for the Christian man or woman. A testimony of his character's navigation through understanding inclusion over isolation, community over consumerism, and heartbreak to full restoration, I feel like I know John personally. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a deeper understanding of knowing our God. This will be a book that I read over and over again for its insights. Thank you, Brandon Pomeroy. You are truly a gifted writer.

A Doctor's Journey for a Deeper Life

I learned a lot about urology, Belize and Uganda. But, more importantly for a novel, I quickly became interested in knowing more about the characters I was meeting. About a fourth of my way into the novel, I realized that I had become invested enough in these characters to not want it to end until I had learned more about the background and future of these distinctive yet recognizable persons. Descriptions of congregations and other organizations rang true to my experience as did reminders of contemporary false goods that are so tempting to so many of us. A good read for an individual open to a spiritually thought provoking and thoroughly engaging novel.
